Why the city leaves the area without lane lines is beyond me. You have one lane that devolves into three lane anarchy all with a crosswalk in the middle of it all. Add the occasional errant softball flying into the street.

We could have parking spots, a painted bike lane, and a single wide lane of traffic both ways with a shared middle lane for left turns. Or anarchy.

Here! Here! Ben. This is exactly what I've been saying for a long, long time. I've even contacted the City of Somerville. I've never, ever, been given a satisfactory, straight answer, with a deadline.

As I have said, and Ben has reiterated, it is NOT just bike lanes. Automobile traffic lanes, parking spaces, and bike lanes are required.
